Renaissance Jr. College, a Junior College of Science. Arts and Commerce follows the instructions and directions of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council along with syllabus provided by them. Renaissance Jr. College is a co-educational Institute offering both English and Assamese medium of instruction. Apart from the prescribed syllabus, the students will be offered classed like— Spoken English, Personality Development, Computer Education etc. This is the only Junior College where Cinema as a basic subject is taught.
For the convenience of the entire students, they are taught through both English and Assamese medium. We have seperate groups for English Medium and Assamese Medium in Arts/ Science/ Commerce.
Attested two copies of the following documents are to be submitted along with the filled in application form:
a) Admit Card, Marksheet and Pass certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination. And Two recent passport sized photographs.
b) A character certificate from the Head of the institution last attested by the candidate.
c) Parents are said to submit four self-addressed envelop with the stamp 5/-along with the relevant documents.
d) Assurance letter
e) SC/ST/OBC/MOBC certificate if applicable from competent authority.
f) Phone numbers written in the form should be either parents or guardiance.
Out of the total available seats, some seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates as per the rules formulated by the management committee.
i) Students as well as their guardians / Parents are advised to go though the prospectus carefully before applying for admission.
ii) Fees once paid will not be returned or refunded under any circumstance.
Percentage is not a bar.
In order to enhance the overall performance of the students, the following feed back process will be implemented:
a) A unit test will be held. class test on every Saturday.
b) Complete analysis of the home assignment.
c) Acquainting the students with various competitive exams such as JEE/ NEET, CE, PAT etc.
The Identity Card will be issued on admission. The same has to be brought by every student during college hours and has to be produced on demand failing which they will not be allowed to attend their classes. If the Identity Card of a student is lost / mis-placed, the institute can issue duplicate I Card against the payment of Rs. 100. If any student is found misusing the I Card he / she will be rusticated from the institute.
As per AHSEC. 75% attendance is compulsory. But our college expect 100% atten-dance) or otherwise they will not to be allowed to appear at their final examination. A student failing to attend classes for 15 days at a stretch without proper knowledge of the authority is liable to forfiet his / her seat.
It is compulsory that students must appear in all the unit test/ Terminal Test and other special departmental exams conducted by the college students failing to appear in the examination without proper authentic reason will have to pay a fine of Rs. 100.00 per paper.
